Title: 1000 CPR encoder
Post by: cncnut on December 09, 2005, 08:40:32 PM
I have a 1000 cpr encoder on my X servodrive running at 2700 rpm. I need to know if I move the encoder to a shaft on the same X drive that only runs 245 rpm, will it work or will i need a different cpr encoder.

There are machines that do this. It is not the best way but if you have a zero backlash belt drive or coupling it should work. That said the best way is to change the encoder.

Hope that helps
