I am using Mach3 and am a new user. When I go to settings and unmark ignore tool change, all is fine until I shutdown. How do I make this stay off everytime I start up.
-
please change the setting and exit Mach3. When you exit Mach 3 it should save the setting. The Exit needs to be done by closing the software not by powering down the computer.
Hope that helps

Been there, done that.
Change settings and go to file exit. Open back up and no save for settings. I am using Version R1.83.030

Could you send me your XML file and I will have a look at it. I have tested it here and it is working as it should... I am tinking you may have a bad XML.
Thank you

The XML is in the Mach3 directory and is going to be named Mach3Mill .xml if you are using mill. If you are using a lathe it will the the turn XML
You can send it to me a brianb@newfangledsolutions.com
Thanks

Thanks for all your help.
How can I save all my machine settings and tool setups before I reinstall mach3. Or cant I

All the settings are in the XML file and the tool table is in the Mach3\macros\Mach3Mill\tools3 file
when I do this I like to save all the macro's too :)
Hope that helps

Just a followup to the above problem.
I have discovered that if I enable or disable the 'ignore tool change box' using the settings tab, does not save the last known setting on exit. If however I use the boxes in the config/logic setups everything works as expected. Somthing is wrong with that checkbox when using the '(alt6)settings' tab.

I didn't even think of the one on the settings page!
Thank you Very good to know!
