Title: "Z" Plunges Opposite Dir.

Been a while since I was LCamming and I have a prob.
I've done all I can remember to get the following to run in Mach but the Z plunges up instead of down.
Stumped,

1 if you have not changed your machine then you have the incorrect goto... another words should be Z-0.250 (maybe is Z0.250)
2 you have changed your mach config...

check these first...

What else could be changed ?

have no idea where 50,80 and 115 came from (LCam)

How about reverse posting? Can your program do that? Its like mirror...
How about Scaleing in Lcam? Can it do that?

Mine can do this stuff and if you get a little something outa whack its hard to find...

I opend it with both NCPlot and Rhino, it was at Z0 so thats ok...

How about reverse posting? Can your program do that? Its like mirror...   Not sure if that would help....used to work good. May drop back a Version or 2.

As for the fact of LCam saving the job "data", it never does for me either and yeah, it sucks because if you want to go back and change something, you have to start from scratch all over again >:(

Chalk it up to being beta software, I guess but they really should make you aware of this stuff before you purchase the license though ;)

Used your LCam file hear, Set the Cut Z to -0.2, Set layer then set all layers.

The tool #4 must have been in you LCam file, I didn't set a tool #.

Added a G55 fixture offset at x1 y1, Don't forget to save it.

Maybe Chip has a fix for it.

Chip, I was just hitting "Set Layer" only.. being the job was only 1 layer. The only thing I did different was to hit "set layer", and then "set all layers" like you said. Then it posted correctly and ran well.
Now....know why it wont save the layer tab info ?

As a side note, I asked over at the Mach 3 Yahoo forum if there was a way that the data could be saved and Art actually replied and said his saves it so I'm waiting on a reply to see how he goes about doing that.

No answers hear. The Bata ver. (Pro) was $60.00, now $75.00, That get you a full release ver. When it comes out it will be $150.00, I Think.

Hopefully there will be further work at some point, Id' start a note book or TXT file for the data you need to keep.

Excellent news for you, LCam is now working/saving for me. I completely uninstalled Mach 3 from my system this time(not my machining system) and reinstalled everything again.

I'm again using v3.00.2 and it is actually saving now. What's VERY interesting is that my older files WERE saved but wouldn't show up as saved. The whole thing is very odd but it's definitely working now.

It's worth a shot! :)

I did notice also that when opening the LCam project, with all of the Layer info zeros, if I post the code without changing anything, it goes through correctly. Like you say...it's saved in there somewhere, just doesn't show.
