Title: newbee needs a little help

using M3 lathe Sherline R1.84

loaded by dealer on supplied system from TableTop.

acts the same as my demo copy -

clicking on file - import dxf does nothing at all -

what am I doing wrong?  tried all 3 main screens

The DXF importer is not working because the old one was taken out... we will be building up a new one but it is going to be many months before we have it done.

ok - so any suggestions on how I can convert a dxf to g-code so I can get it into M3?

OH! and not have to spend another fortune ---

try lazycam, it comes bundeled with mach 3, look for it on the mach3 folder, there is a video about lazycam on the tutorials section on this website
hope that would get you started

If it is a mill you should be Good to go with LCAM but if ti is a lathe it is going to be a bit...
