Title: How to change Reverse speed?
Post by: giannis121 on June 13, 2008, 08:21:39 AM
How can i change the reverse speed?
I tried changing the FeedRate OEMDRO(818) to a very low value,
but everytime i hit the reverse button OEMButton(279), goes back very fast.
Any ideas?

Are you not using the FRO slider? That is the way to slow down the code, typing a number into the DRO will be overwritten by the speed in the code. Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are meaning?

No, i am not using the slider. I am using a button that says SetOemDro(818,200),
but although the feed rate DRO shows 200, the reverse speed is still high speed.
Any ideas?

Afraid not, in fact I have never used reverse run but decided to try it today to see what happened. I did the reverse run and it went at the same speed as forward. I put the FRO slider down and again reversed and again it was at the same speed. I have not tried setting the DRO from VB so cant say what would hapen in a reverse run situation and I am now home so cant test it out. If I remember tomorrow when I get to the workshop I will give it a try.
