Title: problem with the modality Sherline
Post by: giordano on January 23, 2008, 06:03:19 PM
Hi Art. I have had to replace my computer and I have a problem with the modality Sherline. With the old PC, on your suggestion, I have resolved a problem of loss of footsteps planning the modality Sherline. With the new PC if imposes the modality Sherline, pressing the right arrow or the left arrow, the axle X always moves him in the same direction. The new PC has a processor AMD X2 4800 + with chipset ATI and 2Gb of ram. Can you help me? Thanks in advance, Giordano.

Hi. The LPT is planned well. If I disable the modality Sherline in the Ports and Pins page, the moves they are correct but with loss of step also returning to the version 2.5 of Mach3

Hello, Please have a look at the Sherline XML's on the FTP sever
ftp://ftp.machsupport.com/XMLs

You will find an XML for the sherline and it should fix your trouble.
thanks
Brian

Hi Brian. I think about having resolved the problem installing the version 2.45 of Mach3 and an old file XML that I had saved. Also the mode Sherline correctly works. Perhaps the installation of the version 3.0 of Mach3 are not complete. Thanks for the help. Giordano
