Title: MaxNC and backlash
Post by: looker1 on April 26, 2006, 06:59:50 PM
I am trying to set up and old MaxNC10 board ( it is from the year 1999, not one of the 1018A/B boards mentioned in a help documant I read) with Mach3.
I haven't got backlash compensation to work yet, just delays/pauses in code excecution.

I have read some posts about Mach3 not compensating for backlash in wave mode.

Can someone confirm this?
Is there any mods to the board that can be done?
Thanks

Hi:

Its true, in MaxNC modes, there is no software Backlash comp.

It cannot be added at this time..

Only a switchover to new drivers can fix that up..

Sorry,

Hi:

I meant motor drivers, not a program driver. It needs to be step/direction before it can backlash correct..
