I take it your idea is to  hold this in the Z axis and use it for drilling or something similar

Makita is good equipment - BUT - can you control the speed of the tool as it is.
I do NOT mean by pulling a trigger. Is there any system attached to the tool to control the speed.

The enquiry on your other post gave a brief idea of turning it on and off, but speed control is something different.

Mach 3 can control stepper motors without any problem.
Mach 3 can also put out a PulseWaveModulated signal to control Digispeed and similar motor driver boards.

You might be better served finding a motor on which you can control the speed easily, and then fitting a chuck or similar on it, rather than trying to control a hand tool.

Thanks jimpinder

i have one ideas

this is oginal speed control of makita tools

I'' replace varesistor by LDR

Then using PWM spindle speed genorator analog and control white led >> LDR >> motor speed

is it possible?

thanks you agian
