Title: PNP LPT Port
Post by: studysession on December 28, 2007, 07:30:50 PM
Today I purchased a 2nd LPT port for my computer. It does not use standard LPT port addresses. I want to add a second set of motor controllers to my computer and need to use a 2nd port to do that.

Has anyone here tried to use a PNP LPT Port w/ Mach3 and gotten it to work? If so please post here how you did it.

Many thanks -SS

Have you put the address that shows in device manager into the port 2 address in Mach?

I have tried it and it is not working. The hex address in device manager is
D000 instead of the standard 278 or 378 etc...

Thanks -

If it shows as D000 then entering that into the second port address should work, mine is 9C00 and that works fine.

I went and bought a new card and it works fine. I could not find a jumper based legacy card, this is another PNP. It did not come with drivers so had to download them. The I/O address is CC00 and it works fine.

Many thanks for all the help.

Thanks
