Title: Multipass for threadmilling wizard?
Post by: Shepard on December 23, 2007, 06:14:13 PM
Could someone tell me if there is a way to multipass on the threadmilling wizard and I'm missing it? If its not already there do you have any suggestions how I could do it? I'm hesitant to go full depth on a piece of drill rod.
Thanks, Shepard

I have never used that wizzard but, could you just tell it your cutter is a larger diam. than it actually is, save the code and keep doing this until you get to the true diam.?

Thanks, I'm a newbie and the wizards are a big help, I like the spoonfeeding :)  I cut the threads before reading your post. Single pass and real slow. Threads look great but a lot of the rod was unsuported and I would have preferred lighter cuts. I'll try your suggestion next time.
Thanks, Shepard

There is a Fill in the Blank, threading wizard at this link on this forum called "Quick Threads".
