Title: setting kernal speeds on Mach 3
Post by: richyrich212 on December 12, 2007, 05:49:30 PM
Hello all,

Can someone tell me where to get the kernal speed in mach3 ??    When the system was installed the kernal speed was set to 25k but I would like to change that value.

Also in the motor tuning field I can only set my velocity as high as  412. in /min.   mach will not let me go any faster??  Is there a way to overcome this ??

thanks in advance for any info !!

Setting the kernel speed higher will allow faster velocity, that is if your motors/drives can handle it. You will find the kernel speed from the Config menu then the Ports and Pins page, right under where you set your port address.
