Title: Z axis Jogging when MACH is running :)
Post by: carlo on December 05, 2007, 02:32:14 PM
Hi guys,
How can I Jog the Z axis movement when the MACH3 is running?
Example: I will install an inductive sensor in front of the Z axis (laser), When MACH3 is running and when the sensor reads a signal ON the Z axis should move upwards until the sensor signal is OFF(0) otherwise MACH3  should continue running.
Any help will be appreciated
Thank you
carlo

Hi Carlo - not exactly sure what it is you're wanting but it puts me in mind of THC in plasma - any use?

The way to do this is with a Macro or a Brain. I haven't done much with Brains so I can't help with that.

If your laser is connected to one of the inputs to Mach3, then you can write a Macro to move the Z axis to wherever you want. Have a look at the tutorial on Scripting and it will give you the idea. Adapt it to what you want to do.
