Title: About one on one phone support.
Post by: ynneb on April 17, 2006, 11:01:16 PM
Due to the very  low  price of Mach, it  does not allow for phone support, this service is not free and is done on a pay per use structure.

If after you have viewed all the videos, read the wiki files, read the documentation and asked some questions in the forums, you still feel like you need support. then you may post a request for an phone appointment here.

You must post your email address in the request so that you can be advised what number to ring and at what time to ring.

The charge will be $45 US per hour, or part.  The payment will need to be made via Paypal and must be cleared before the phone support is given.

Due to the varying abilities of users, we make no guarantees that the phone support will help. Although we can guarantee you will be helped by mach experts.

Please start a new post in this section requesting phone support.

Current support staff........

PS If you would like to become a phone supporter, please send me a PM, and once approved you will be added to our supporters list.

Hello,

I have this drawing of a mapleleaf. My machIII and plasma cutter have been working well.

this particular drawing, when I go to load it into the lazycam, I get a message saying "This file contains splines. They were ignored as splines cannot be imported.

It is not a complicated drawing and I don't know why it will not work!

Can anyone help?

If possible, I would like to pay for phone support with Brian about discussing a workaround dealing with the gcode interpreter and pauses that I get when running Mcodes.
I am not expecting the problem to be solved in one phone call... i just need to talk with somebody that knows this stuff inside and out... so I can look in the right direction for what is a realistic solution for the problem I am facing.

Thanks  :)

Hi, Brian, Scott
I want to book phone support to solve this problem. I'm having a post written for a 4 axis edm Dolphin cam software that I intend to use for a 4 axis hot wire machine. The Mach screen is a 4 axis foam screen with X Y & A B the XY will accept IJ arc commands but Dolphin cam says Mach won't accept arc commands in AB, if this is true tell me now, if it is possible I'm more than happy to pay for support to sort it out. Thanks

Hey Larry, Brian shared this with me.

We can do A and B in an arc but they are treated as linear moves. We don't allow for more than one arc at the same time.  A way arond that is to break the arc into lines.

Hope that helps,
Brett

I am needing assistance and since I see that brian is handling support in the USA I want help and will pay for it.

My problem is as follows:

AXIS not moving and DRO is incrementing.

I am having a problem with MACH3 with the VISTA SCREEN SET and it is driving me crazy.

I have referenced all axis and they are correctly moving to the reference positions. The DRO's read 0.0000

My problem is that when I program a

    n06 G73 x0 y0 z-0.4 q0.125 r0.1 f6
    n07 x1

The machine will drill the first hole correctly but will not move to x=1.000 that that the command line calls for. The DRO Increment, but the X axis is not moving. I understand that the G73 command is modal and that the n07 line is telling the machine to move to x=1.00 and execute the M7e command which the ANSI standards say is amodal until another cG command id instituted.

I can Jog the X axis via the MPG. It works and the DRO only updates as I turn the MPG

    If I MDI the command g0 x1.000
the machine will not move the X axis.but the DRO increments as if it was moving.

MY skill set is old world and I am 71 so my thinking is there is something wrong
    with MACH in the settings.

I need PHONE SUPPORT.  I have a PAYPAL Account and understand the billing rate you charge.

MACH3 JOGING PROBLEM

Here is a problem that has me tearing out my hair.

    Conditions:
    1. All axis of mach3 work, x,y,z and will move with an MDI command.
    2. All axis of mach3 work, x,y,z and will move when I REFERENCE ALL.
    3. When I TAB over to the JOG Page pullout, none of the jog buttons will respond.

Problem is what can be wrong? The axis drives work, but, the machine will not JOG.

Since posting my problem on the yahoo and CNCZONE, I have:

1. disconnected the MPG from the computer, This allowed me to Get the Shuttle mode enabled (Flashing Yellow)
2. checked the the jog increment were set at 0.010
3. When I tried the JOG from SHUTTLE PULL OUT Jog Buttons - NO JOY.

System is MACH3 and the computer is a DELL running Windows7.

The system was working very well when I LAST USED it.  That was in APRIL of thisyear,  I live in arizona and the aveerage temperAture for the summer was over 105 degrees F.

look at this:

on your jog fly-out make sure you have the Jog type on continuous, if it is set to MPG those screen buttons will not work.
there is a jog type cycle button that will cycle, Continuous, Step, and MPG
Make sure that you DO NOT have shuttle mode on.

new to the forum, I have a Platform CNC from Grunglanu design. I have built this from a kit and its working well.
I am trying to complete the electronics. I want to control my water cooled spindle (on/off) and speed from Mach3.
I have a Gecko 540 drive, Huanyang Inverter and 2.2kw spindle. I have been running the spindle directly from the inverter.

I have read the Huanyang manual and shifted the jumper to use external control, changed the PD001 from 0 to 1, also to
allow external control.

FRom the Gecko I have pin 6 conected to FOR on the inverter and pins 7-9 to GND, VI and 10v+.

I don't understand how to set in ports and pins to get everything running.

Best times are Tuesday afternoon PDT July 7th of Thursday 10 - 6.

Phone support is offered via our helpdesk, support.machsupport.com. The rules posted in 2006 are not current, as we now have an actual tech support team in place and a ticketing system. Phone support minutes are sold in 15 minutes chunks. Each chunk is $30. Phone support sessions are offered on a first come first serve basis, with Mach4Industrials taking priority. I recommend submitting a ticket before purchasing minutes to make sure the issue you need help with is one that we can help you with over the phone.

Best wishes,
Bryanna

Edit: The helpdesk is the only way to guarantee official support from our team. You are welcome to post here seeking help from other users, but you will not likely receive a response from our team on this thread.

To whom it may concern,

We are currently running a filament winder using Mach3 Wind, and have just recently upgraded to Mach 4 and are having trouble setting it up with our winder.
I would appreciate a phone call to help us get our system running - we're currently using a mix of Kollmorgen and DuraTRUE Micron servos with Kollmorgen drives and a Galil controller.

Antytime tomorrow between 9am - 2pm works or anytime between 9 - 3 next week.

Please feel free to email me a response at:

Look forward to hearing from you.
