Title: Spindle ON / Off
Post by: Jerry In Maine on November 29, 2007, 10:47:00 AM
Building a new and larger homebrew wood mill.  I'd like to be able to start and stop my spindle (converted plunge router) via my G-Code automatically.

I have a solid-state relay that'll comfortably handle the router's current but I could use a push in the right direction on getting the on/off voltage from by HobbyCNC driver board to the relay.

Can anyone give me the basics?

in mach choose Output1 or 2, or what ever you want to be your spindle on relay, an M3 and or M4 could turn it on, m5 will turn it off.
ports and pins, goto outputs, go down to the output you chose for your spindle out put, put in the correct port your using 1 or 2, and send to the output pin on your hobbie cnc board that you have your spindle on wired into.
