Title: Gear Cutting with 4th Axis
Post by: Al on November 26, 2007, 03:22:58 AM
My apologies to all if this is a duplicate, but I have been looking for the past 2 hrs and cannot find anything on th NFS Wizard Gear cutting and using a 4th axis.
Am I missing the info some where? or is the gear wizard only for a manual rotary table?

Thanks all
Al

The wizard does use the A axis. It generates a subroutine that makes the A move, so the code looks a bit strange if oyu are not used to subroutines.

I must be a moron but in the gear cutting wizard, which number do you use to cut blank from the right (behind).
What settings would you use to cut 1 inch blank with 30 gears. Going right to left from the back.
