Title: Mach's Keyway Wizard
Post by: Shepard on November 09, 2007, 08:26:05 AM
I'm asking Mach's Keyway Wizard to cut .26 width with a 1/8 endmill but only get  1/8 slot. The gcode shows no change in y.  I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Could you get me back on track? Thank you,  Shepard

Shepard I just ran a simulation and what I saw was that it first cut a center .125 slot down the center, it then did a pocket of the slot width to clean it up and repeated until the depth of cut was reached. Did you actually run the file or just look at the code?

I'm an idiot. Thank you. I had not let the file get to the pocket.

I  cut 2  .250 wide key ways today and  the machine left  a ramp on the opisite side of the ramping of the program but the D.R.O. was going to the right  count every time

any idea what  is wrong
