Hey All,
I'm hoping someone can help me out quickly. I just upgraded from 2.48 to 2.58 and I seem to have lost my setup file (.xml). I looked in the folder called xmlbackups but still can't seem to find the file that I used just days ago. Now, when I start Mach3, it wants to use the default values for I/O, motor tuning etc. I can probably find the file by date in the xmlbackup folder, but how do I get back as my default profile? I tried just renaming, and moving to the Mach3 folder but that doesn't seem to work. I'm sure I'm missing something simple.
Please help!
EDIT>>>>>> Nevermind. I found my answer with Restore

I am going to set a mach3 backup in other computer , i have the .xml file , do i save into the xmlbackup folder??? or what is the next step??
thanks a lot for help

No, just save it wherever you like. Then if you ever need it you just paste it into your Mach3 folder and it will overwrite the corrupt/wrong one and all your settings will be restored. If you have custom macros or custom screens you also would be advised to copy these folders. Same for tooltables and offsets, they are your macro folder so copyiing that folder will save them :)

Yes, definitely, just save the whole folder and then if anything goes wrong, you can just pick out what you once had and use it. :)
I do this because I have made my own screen sets and macros so I figured just do the whole thing and be done with it. Storage is so cheap now. ;D

Do you have a licence? If so place it in the Mach3 folder.
