Title: Control Panel Size
Post by: kolias on May 28, 2022, 03:26:36 PM
Starting the wiring for my new cnc and the attached shows the box size plus the orientation off the ESS and C11G BOB which I would like to have comments if the arrangement shown is correct or perhaps the 2 boards should be placed different. The 3” high pc for the switches will be 1/8” thick aluminum and under it will be a single 1/8” thick door.

The box is made out of 5/8” thick plywood which I have. I would have liked to make it out of 1/4" or 3/8” ply but the cost of plywood in my area is astronomical! (like anything else…).

Thank you

Should be fine.  1/8 overkill for switch panel unless you happen to have it.

1/8” is what I have. Let me know if the positions I have of the ESS / C11G BOB are acceptable. Never used ESS before and just wonder

I can't see it makes much difference provided the wiring is fairly short, position the units to achieve that.
