Hello,
I am running Mach4 with Pokeys57CNC
Sorry to post a new topic on G31. I've tried searching the forum archives and can't find a similar problem / solution.
The problem is when I run this gcode command in the MDI (as a test) the z axis does not stop on probe contact.
G31 Z-10 F50
I can run probing with no issues using the Probing Wizard. Also the Touch light indicates contact during the move (using the gcode above).
Not sure what I am missing.
Anyone else had this issue?
Thanks.

Hi,
Since probing is a real-time process, it must be handled entirely by the motion controller. So I would investigate the settings of the Pokeys.

I haven't had any probing problems with the pokeys57CNC make sure you are wired to pin 19 on pokeys and on some of the older boards you need to add a i think pullup resistor to pin 19 but been a while and don't remember for sure, the only drawback for me is it won't work with more that one probe connected..

Wow. Good information. Thanks!

Thanks gorf23!
Yup wired on pin 19. Usually I don't have a problem. It seems at times either Mach4 or Pokeys "looses itself" I can't quite figure out how or why.
