Title: Part machines 180 deg out
Post by: tiksom on August 18, 2021, 03:43:41 AM
Guys, I`m having an issue that i cannot resolve.

I  modeled everything in fusion 360. Coordinates are as shown.
Zero in Fusion 360 is set top right corner.
When i set that zero on the machine it treats that as "Left bottom corner" and machines away from the part.

If i set zero on the machine to left bottom corner, than the machine cuts 180 rotated part.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Your machine axis is reversed

your need to change "dirlowactive" in configuration. that will reverse the direction on the axis

Hi Guys.
Thanks for your reply. If I change "dirlowactive" then the jog is going the other way around. For example low arrow on the keyboard (say you want to Y-) sends the table away from me to Y+.

The keyboard arrow keys relate to the direction of movement of the cutter over the workpiece so yes, the down arrow key would move the cutter to -Y on the workpiece and to do this the table would move away from you.

(You could, of course, always set-up a 'non-standard system' as in Config. / System Hotkeys Setup you can reverse the Scan Codes for the Y++ and Y-- Jog Hotkeys).

Ah, so it's all ok then. I've changed the hot keys to easy stock setup. All works now. Thanks
