Title: Jogging Cont Step (PLEASE HELP)
Post by: stul on May 22, 2021, 06:25:35 PM
Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and fairly new to Mach 3 and CNC.
I had Mach 3 on a computer controlling my CNC, it was working great, that computer got a little wet and stopped working so I set up Mach3 on another one. Now I have a problem with Jogging, it seems very slow, it used to fast jog upto around 1800 mm per minute, now its maxing out at 60 even at 100%. the motor tuning velocity and acceleration are the same before. Where can this jog speed be changed be set?

maybe Config -> Port's&Pins -> Kernel Speed is set to a lower value?

Thanks for your reply, what speed should it be set at? Currently it's at 25000Hz, I haven't changed it since bringing the profile over from the last PC.

you can calculate it, but it is only rlevant if you have a parallel port machine.

for example

you want to have 1800mm/min and you have 1000 Steps/per

1800/60*1000 = 30000
