Hello Guys.
I finished and had for few days my router table, working nicely. One week ago I decide to dedicate this computer to the machine so I Des-install and install again Windows XP and a newer version of Mach3 V2.48. . Since then I have not been able to run my motors any more. I know they engage because I cant make them move and they get slightly warm but no vibration or noise at all. I use another computer with W. XP and an older Mach3 and still the same problem, the motors wont move. Y use G230V drives, PMDX-122 breakboard and Orientals Motors PK296A2A-SG7.2 run by Windows XP and Mach3 V2.48 I fallowed carefully the steps to install in Mach and cant correct the problem so y need help, :-[ urgent help :-[
Thanks in advance

Thanks for answering Hood
Stupid question. ¿I go to Mach3 and copy a file that says xml ? I can copy and post but just want to be sure of what file I have to send.
-
What profile do you use for Mach? Do you just start by clicking on the Mach3Mill icon? If yes then look for Mach3Mill.xml, you will have to copy it to another location then rename it to something else, Hugo.xml for example. You can then attach it to a post by using the additional options button. If you dont rename it you wont be able to attach it as someone else in the past will have attached Mach3Mill.xml and the forum will only allow one example of each.

Hello Hood
When I tried to send the post it gives me these answer "The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved."
I send the file to my documents, named, and then tried to attach from documents to the post with no success's. ¿What am I doing wrong?

I think there are a few problems with the forum at the moment. It is being migrated from Artsoft to Mchsupport and there seems to be a few glitches. Send it to me via email and I will have a look tomorrow. I will give you my email address by private message.

Had a look at the xml and dont see anything wrong, can you check with a voltmeter that you are getting OV and 5V on the direction pins when you jog one way then the other. Just disconnect the cable from the breakout so you have easy access to the pins for testing.

Hello Hood.
I feel like a foul, but the problem was that I inverted the the step and dir inputs when I reinstall Mach3. Insted of setting 3-2 5-4 7-6 9-8 I put 2-3 4-5 4-7 8-9. I don't know why I end up with that combination. The only problem now Is that I cannot make the motor for axis Y move. The other three motors run nicely.

Ha ha weve all done that :D
Just have to check your wiring and settings again, if no movement then check with Parallel port cable removed and a voltmeter on the Y axis pins to see if they are getting the correct voltage.
