Title: Spindle won't start (Hobbyist Noob)
Post by: Declan on February 25, 2021, 07:19:13 AM
I was running a 'dummy run' program with Mach3 I've run numerous times before with no issue. I pressed 'Single BLK' button as the program started (which I have done many times before with no issue) and the spindle just stopped working and refuses to start up again. All other functions are working as normal.

On my display the spindle button is flashing. I've thoroughly checked and rechecked all the config settings re the setup manual. Rebooted the computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Mach3 and still nothing. When the computer starts up the spindle operates then shuts off when Mach3 comes on. Something is conflicting. The spindle is connected directly to the BOB as directed in the manual. I'm baffled. I'm sure its a simple thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards Declan.

Mystery solved, a dodgy relay on the break out board. Amazing what a flick of the finger will reveal.
