Post by: jamesmustain on February 17, 2021, 12:09:54 AM
Hi guys,
I'm planning building my diy cnc router , i think i'll buy AKZ250 BOB Mach3 and see that it has 16 input pin , and i want to know that can use all pin input in the BOB AKZ250 to add some pushbutton to my machine as START/STOP , JOG X++.And I know that  mach3 only support pin 10,11,12,13,15 as input pin.
Any help? Thanks All!

Hi,
the only thing to recommend that motion controller is that it is cheap.

Consider an Ethernet SmoothStepper ($180USD), firstly it has Ethernet comms which has better noise immunity and faster throughput.
It has 51 IOs, more than enough for multiple buttons etc. It has both Mach3 and Mach4 plugins should you ever decide to upgrade.
Note the the ESS is a motion controller only, you'd still require a BoB or BoBs, for instance a C25 ($29) with two ports or multiple C10's ($23 each)
with one port per board.

Your BOB is USB connected, there must be a pluging for it.
normaly there is a documentation witch tell's you what Port/Pin Setting is needed to get acces to all
avaliable in-/Outputs.
