Hello,
I am new with cnc, we buy from china to cut some materials. Machine x.y axis work without problem. But problem is about z-axis.
z-axis think oposite than can be.
Machine when start cut, moves down and then cut on up not down, and after program is finish return to down.
We change in artcam material thickess and from buttom to top, but nothing change.
we change home limits from negative to positive and oposite for z-axis ( soft max 1 and soft min -255) but nothing change
Machine z-axis negative values is on up (sealing) and positive values on floor. But why machine moves always on negative values (sealing).
How to configure mach 3, to make the machine think oposite?
Controller is XHC with wifi controler.

Config -> Ports&Pins -> Motor Outputs -> Z-axis -> Dir LowActive
-
ok,
thanks next week try this.
-
we try, but not work...
-
if you move the z-axis in Manual
pgdown -> z-axis down
pgup -> z-axis up ?
-
:( we work with remote, and not tested.
After Your text we test and answer is no.
pagedown z- machine goes up not down, and z+ machine goes down, not up.
-
we test all other axis and all move oposite diretions, where to change these to reverse?

As TPS has already told you...
Config -> Ports&Pins -> Motor Outputs -> axis - change the Dir Low Active State for the particular axis which is moving in the wrong direction and save the change. Restart Mach3 to check that the changes have taken effect.
Tweakie.

Big thanks, one big problem is reslove, key word was close mach 3 and restart again.

Excellent :) I am pleased it is solved.

Next question is about cuting depth, it is perfect 1/2 from set. If i set up cut 18mm plywood machine cut only 9mm. if i set up 36mm machine cut 18mm plywood without problem.
I need change z- axis steps increase in Motor tuning and setup?

Yes, you have to double Steps Per.
