Title: How to enable arrow keys for jogging main axes while in MPG mode

I have a table top CNC Lathe I have created which includes to MPGs so I can run the lathe in manual and CNC mode. The MPGs allow for very accurate positioning of X and Z but when I start cutting by turning the wheel by hand it always choppy cause of the human element. I am trying to come up with a way to move X and Z in the same manner as the arrow keys so I have a consistent speed when cutting and I can stop and start the axes movement instantly. Any help would be appreciated.
