Title: my cnc on mach3 homes to the positive
Post by: mtabernig on August 18, 2020, 05:17:59 PM
My cnc homes to the right, looking from the from of the table. To the positive.  I need to start on the left corner were it will be home 0 and from there I could move anywhere on the table and always have positive numbers. I reverse the motor wires, reverse the motors on pins  Wherever I make home on the 0.0 is on the left.
Is there a way to change the true homing on the left? Make that be the true 0.0 and everywhere you go on the table will always have Positive numbers.
I am talking about the short X axis across the front of the table.

I think I did not explain myself properly.
When I home the machine, it will travel to the top right corner  anything from there down and left are all positive numbers.
fNow, if I go to config> stops/soft spots and check reverse direction box I can reverse and come to the left bottom corner, however, at that time any time I move the gantry  in any direction will change the numbers to an increasing negative.
I spend all day trying myself to and every time I try another change is not good.
If I move the X gantry to the right yea.. when moving left works but is on the wrong side. The Y is the one that the only way to change is to moved to the top of the table.

Please help    perhaps I can post some photos if is not explained right
