Title: Pulsing to fast, ACPI to standard pc
Post by: MachineMan66 on May 15, 2020, 05:55:24 PM
Steppers are stopping, and missing steps. tried changing Vref on stepper controller, changing speed and velocity in motor tune with no luck. tried changing the ACPI to standard, but I dont see a standard driver when I look for it. I can only get 40IPM out of the steppers and need at least twice that.
Running probotix pbx-rf breakout, sidestepper controllers at 1.5A, 280oz in steppers, 1/4 20 screws.

Are you running your steppers at the maximum voltage the drivers will allow ?

No. have them set at 1A, stepper controllers can go to 2.5. I have tried all the way up to 2.5 and down to .5. This machine doesnt have any force put on the steppers while running. Just moves the x and y.

That is Current - What Voltage are you running your steppers at ?

(basically Current determines Torque and Voltage determines Speed).
