Title: Win 7 32bit, driver test OK, steppers have power but do not move

Hi I am new and just starting to try work this out but have hit a wall

I am 32-bit win 7 on a laptop
I have set the pins x 23 y 45 z 67
Steppers have power

but no movement -

Driver test good

the only difference is the laptop does not have a traditional printer plug so I bought an adapter USB to lpt1

HELP, please

I am using a 6600 driver card I know I bought it some years ago as a project that lockdown has given me the opportunity to build and I would just like to be able to have a win do I have the jumpers set wrong?? it is how it come so I did not mess with it

The adapter USB to LPT1 will not work - you need an external motion controller if you plan on using a laptop.

Yes you are right I dumped everything went to the corner of the shed and found an old tower and hard drive after many hrs got win XP up and it worked I am now functional phase one complete - thanks
