Title: Homing and Limits
Post by: cropwell on April 02, 2020, 09:51:03 AM
At the moment my machine is unavailable due to a workshop refurb.

Can anyone confirm whether Limits are enabled or disabled during Homing? If they are disabled then I have a dangerous situation if I have a wiring fault on the Homes as they are NO inductive switches. The Limits are NC microswitches, so that would provide a safety net.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi Rob.
Of course, limits are ignored if the limit sw also acts as a home.
I tested a separate limits and home switch configuration by emulating to separate inputs and found that even though the inputs are separate, Mach3 still ignores the emulated limit sw trigger while homing.
I would think it should not be that way ... but it is what it is.

Hi,

Is there any way to change this behavior? It is desirable that the limits are active when limit sw does not act as home.

thank you
