Title: homing issues
Post by: bgasser on March 13, 2020, 12:23:50 PM
I am running mach 3 connected to a machine with a Gecko g540. For limit switches I am using cnc router parts proximity swiches.

The machine has been up and running for about 18 months without any major issues. Homing and limit switches were working fine until about 3 weeks ago. At that time when I would home the machine the y axis would home properly but the x axis would move to the limit switch, trip the switch but not back off to a home position. I have checked the configuration and it has not changed.

Any idea what could cause this issue? I have an extra proximity switch that I could change out, but it seems that something changed elsewhere due to the fact that the limit switch will trip.

Thanks.

That is not it, machine is not connected to the internet at all.

Thank you for the input.

This has been resolved.

I had another machine profile that I tested the "ref all home" button. That button worked properly so I loaded and copied the vbscript from that profile to the defective profile.

I am not really certain what was defective in the vbscript, because they had the same code, but copying the code did work.

Thanks!
