Title: C axis DRO not shown
Post by: In_Grained on January 26, 2020, 10:41:41 PM
Hey all, I'm running Mach 3 on 32 bit XP. It's been working fine on 3 axes. Just added a rotary table which was configured as a (not thinking) A axis. All good until I realised it should be a C axis (better to stick to convention).
Re-configured everything and it's working except the DRO is not reading the movement on the C axis.
Q1 Is it possible to select/display the DRO for the C axis?
If not, I'm guessing I may have to redesignate the axes (x vertical, a axis vertical, y & z in the horizontal plane).

When the DRO was reading the 'A' axis, entering the value 36 in MDI results in a full rotation (360 degrees)
Q2 Can the data input be converted to reflect actual values (enter 10 for 10 degrees rotation)?

A seperate issue - the spindle pulses periodically when the stepper drivers are on.
Q3 Is there a simple remedy for this other than isolating the spindle?

Q1 = Yes.
You will need to use a Screen Editor and change the designation for the 4th Axis DRO from 'A Position' to 'C Position' and also change the 4th Axis Scale DRO from 'OEM 62' to 'OEM 64'.

Hi,
Mach4 has a six axis screenset as standard.
