Title: Start in the middle
Post by: Chuck D on January 10, 2020, 05:14:26 AM
Good morning.
My CNC router shut down for some reason and after a trouble shooting, seems to be fine. I need to start the program from where it stopped at.
I have tried several methods from this form and other groups on FB....the result is my spindle slamming up or slamming down.
I would like to start where I left off, so k don't have to scrap the material and time already invested.
Any guidance is appreciated.
Running Mach 3 via USB/motion control.
China import machine
Thank you.

Hi.
its called 'Run From Here" or RFH, do a forum search. It is a potentially tricky procedure but if you
are prepared to practice it does work.

Thanks.... I've tried about 5-6 different suggestions from this forum and others, and they all result in the spindle running full up or full down causing me to hit the stop button.
I'm not sure what the problem is.... I will try it again after I finish this order.
Thanks

Just a note...

Your particular USB motion controller may not support the RFH command - you would just have to try it and see.

I am thinking that's my situation. Everything I try is a no-go
