Title: Mach 3/winxp system crash
Post by: bslater on September 12, 2007, 06:30:52 PM
Hello!

I have installed Mach 3 r2.4 on my laptop, with xp installed as standard PC, 550mhz AMD Processor, 160m ram.  Mach is the only program installed with the license file in the correct location on the system with a new clean install of the xp.

When I start Mach 3 it begins to load, then, the blue screen of death, and the whole computer reboots.  I have tried normal XP install as well and had no luck.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

try with an older version of Mach3 (1.84) and see if it makes any difference, your computer is a bit low on spec and that may be the problem. Also laptops can be problematic.

Wireless networks can cause this too.

Also might be worth trying Win 2000 as I think it uses a lot less resources

try this,reboot-go to the mach directory look for a file called special driver double click ,you will see a  quick dos screen come
and go.then reboot.i believe that will get it.
