Title: Drilling with turn.
Post by: Davek0974 on June 24, 2019, 08:57:05 AM
Hi all,
Hust getting back to my lathe spindle add-on for the Bridgeport mill but hit a snag.

This code...

G98 G81 X0. Z-6.262 R2. F365.

Does nothing at all, skips over it.
Would that be a know thing, something i'm doing wrong or something else??

I have a CS-Labs controller running Mach3.

Any ideas??

Try the G83, also you have to make sure it is the newer version of the macro as if not it will feed back in after the peck
rather than rapid.
See here for info.

Thanks Hood,

this does not work either.

G98 G83 X0. Z-6.262 R2. Q1.05 F365.

Does drilling rely on a macro?

I see no macro call or is it embedded in Mach3?

Should be there in the main Mach folder and called M1083.m1s

Working now, at least G83 does, will it fix G81 too?

Needed to make a small batch of washers, 12mm x 3mm....

Thanks for the help.

I don't think there is such a thing as G81 in Turn.
