I am setting up a CNC lathe. In the online videos teaching how to use tool offsets the T0101 command invokes a script that changes the current offset and sets the current tool number. When I loaded Mach 4, there is no tool change script. Am I going to have to write my own script just to set the current tool number? Shouldn't the script that is displayed in the training videos be included in the Mach installation?

Hi,
look in Mach4Hobby/LuaExamples/ToolChanger to find examples of different toolchange scripts.

That folder does not exist in my installation. I have the latest build 4162. It is just not there. There are other examples, but nothing for the tool change script.

Hi,
I have 4162 and it is there.

Hi,
I am also missing the tool change scripts. I have Mach4 version 4.2.0.4322 installed. In my installation there is no "ToolChanger"-folder under Mach4Hobby/LuaExamples/.
Are the scripts availible for download somewhere?

These folders are in the installer. If they are not in your installation directory, you probably deleted them. Download the installer and install to another directory like Mach4Hobby2. Then copy the examples from Mach4Hobb2 to Mach4Hobby.

Hi Steve,
I did as you recommended but the new installation (build 4300) is also missing the /ToolChanger folder. Attached is a screenshot of my /LuaExamples folder. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah, it is indeed not there. I guess the guys that do the installer took them out for some reason. I will inquire.
