Title: Arduino and MODBUS to controll chinese ac servo spindle
Post by: valvolo on April 10, 2019, 09:16:21 AM
Hi, I'm trying to restore an old cnc machine I bought at iron price (without spindle and servos).
Yesterday I received my chinese set of servo+driver + servo spindle motor and the related driver.
the latter is a s4t2p2 from SZGH and I found the manual here in this forum through some google search (https://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=36663.0;attach=48294).
now my version of driver is the latter one, with modbus option to control it. now I need an help to explain me how can I make the tool change, positioning, homing and speed control by mach3 through (arduino, some control board or what) till the modbus port (ethernet) of the ac servo spindle controller.
Thanks everyone

IMHO,
i would go the "traditional" road.

0-10V for Speed control
use the digital Inputs Forward reverse orientation.

modbus i think will be an adventure.
