Title: Mach3 crash on startup
Post by: fbracing02 on April 08, 2019, 09:44:42 PM
All, I am currently having an issue with my mach3 plasma setup. my previous computers harddrive failed so I upgraded to a newer PC  Of course the newer PC didnt have a parelle port so I bought a pci expansion card(https://www.amazon.com/SD-PEX10005-PCI-Express-Parallel-MCS9900-Chipset/dp/B003D3MFHC/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=pci+parallel&qid=1554774158&s=gateway&sr=8-5).
I am running windows 10 32 bit, have the proper drivers for my card installed as well as see the mach3 driver in my device manager.

Mach3 will begin to open, show me the splash screen, then crash the computer to BSOD. Ive tried much earlier versions of windows 10 to ensure im not suffering a windows update fault.
After much google searching and trial and error I ask if anyone knows of something else im missing?

1) Mach3 can not use the parallel port in Windows 10.
2) Only the latest version of Mach3 from the machsupport website will run in Windows 10.

So theres no way to make it work with windows 10?

Yes, but you can't use the parallel port.
You need a motion controller, like an ESS, UC100, UC400ETH, ....
