Title: What is the minimum PC required.
Post by: coogrrr on August 16, 2007, 12:12:56 PM
To run a 4 axis machine what is the minimum PC requirements. I will have XP installed but is 256mb ram enough is a P3 900mhz enough? I would be only running Mach3 nothing else on this machine.

I have run Mach on a lesser computer but maybe I got lucky with my computer, I have had some that didnt work too well and were 2000MHz plusl.  Best thing to do is run the driver test and see how that performs.

You would be better of by installing video card with lots of memory and more ram. Disable peripherals you don't need in the BIOS, that'l lighten the cpu load and free some IRQ shared services, and also less interupt calls.
