Title: Windows 10?

Hi Guys
I have a mill and a lathe working very well with Mach 4 and Windows 7. I'm thinking of building a plasma cutter and would like to use a separate computer for it as sometimes I may have a job running on one of the machines that can take some time. All new computers seem to have Windows 10 on them - how does Mach 4 like Windows 10? I'm looking for people running Windows 10 to comment about their experience please.

I've got a couple machines running Windows 10.
We haven't ran into any problems running Windows 10. 
We also strip the computer of everything it doesn't need, I recommend doing that as well.
Games, Startup assistants, video players, Microsoft Office, Anything that isn't essential is removed from the computer.

Running an ESS on a low performance (1.9GHz processor, 4 GB ram) industrial PC running Win10 OEM (stripped down to nothing). Runs great. No issues to date.

Thanks for that. Is there a list anywhere of what is safe to strip from Windows 10?

Hi,
to be honest Mach4 is a light weight application, it doesn't require a highly optimized PC.

I use a SmoothStepper and Warp's recommendation is to either disable or remove WFI. Other than that you can run
Windows as standard retail install. It is also recommended to turn off automatic Windows updates as they stop the
PC in its tracks........thanks to Microsofts vigilance! You will need to let Mach4 through the firewall and anti virus programs.

Just for you guy's information, Mach 4 is developed on Windows 10.
