Title: Mach3 software.

Is there a trial version of mach3 or a similar freeware package out there? I want to give it s go to see if it’s for me before committing the cash to it.

There are fully working (with some limitations) free versions of Mach3 and Mach4 which you can download and try before you buy.  https://www.machsupport.com/software/
