Hi,
I can't get the forum search to work.. something about spell check.
Is there anyone who can point me in the direction of topics regarding spindle wiring and setup so that it can be controlled through mach3? I'm sure it's been covered here numerous times.
VFD: Huanyang HY02D223B, 2.2kw Chinese
Breakout Board: HY-jk02-M, with relay and analog 0-10v for speed control.
Many hours of searching, fiddling and head scratching have led me here. ???
I can get the relay to fire, which leads me to believe that the software is talking to the breakout board, but that's as far as i can get.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
This forum is currently undergoing a re-think on layout, content, etc. http://forum.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,38649.0.html
Some functions (such as search and link re-directs, etc.) may be a little cranky until it is all sorted.
Tweakie.

had a quick look to the Manuals.
look's like your bob had only a relay Output to Switch on/off the VFD, but no speedcontrol.
here:

i found something about the wiring of the VFD.

Thanks mate, that’s a lot of help. I’ll see if we can’t get it running in the morning.
As for the BOB, it should control the spindle rpm, (that’s what is advertised anyway). Quote: “Output 0-10V analog voltage for inverter to control the spindle speed.”
Though there’s no clear indication on how to do it in the manual, or anywhere else that I can see. I’m hoping that someone who has used this specific board will come along and enlighten me.
If not, I might have to stop being such a tight ass and get something a little better.

From the photographs that I can find on web, your BOB only have relay output, nowhere to be seen at least an op-amp that converts PWM to 0-10V.
-
This manual does not show any speed control.

Oh, there is :)
Spindle relay: ON/OFF :D

So you’re saying I should ask for my $5 back because of false adavertising? :D :D

you can use spare Output from the B-axis and put a PWM to 0-10V converter
on that, then you have a Speed control.

These boards have speed control:

The simple method is a USB to RS-485 converter and a Huanyang plugin.
