Title: Motor Tuning on Mach3 keeps crashing guys?

Hi you Guys

Im the new kid in town here

A freshly faced Rookie ready for the banter!

Does anyone know why me mach3 keeps crashing everytime i try to tune me Nema23 motors?

Using windaes 7 and its a 32 bit! :-*

Did you install as administrator and in the default location? Windows can be very picky about this.

Everything else works ok?

And default location, C Drive MACH3

Tried reinstalling just everytime i click ok it crashes with error

When you go to save it has to write to a file. If you didn't install and run as administrator windows may be preventing the file being written and causing a crash.  I could be many other things but I usually try the easy ones first.

Thanks Mike for your help, will try this tomorrow its interesting you let me know it was writting to a file! makes more sense now, will let you know how it goes, i was thinking "maybe its to do with my USB Breakout board" as its not a parallel type board!

Installed as Admin and ran as Admin still crashes

anyone else have any ideas? ???

OMG

I thought MACH3 didnt do windows 10 64 bit?

I swapped PC from windows 7 32 bit to its Big Brother

Windows 10 64 Bit PC

And its working 100%

OH DEAR

I thought they said used Windows 7 32 bit etc etc

I just tuned motors for the first time with my Windows 10 64 bIT PC Using mach 3 and its working 100%
