Title: MACH3 fails after some updates of win7
Post by: harbo on May 01, 2018, 06:08:15 AM
MACH3 does a restart of windows. Even the Drivertest does a restart. This happens for a few weeks now.  After I reinstalled win7, everthing was ok again, but after some updates it fails again. Is this a known problem? What to do

This seems to be a known problem:  http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,37050.msg254321.html#msg254321

As I need to be always connected , how can I avoid that this updat comes again and again.....
Reinstallation of MACH3 didn't help.
I cannot believe that I always have to uninstall this update before I can use MACH3 again.

Your machine PC needs to be a 'dedicated machine PC' which is not connected to the internet, does not run other software in the background and does not receive updates.

You also have the option to upgrade to an external motion controller. The issue has been with Mach3 and the parallel port and the recent Windows 7 updates, but no problems have been reported with external motion controllers. Just some food for thought!
