I'm completely new to retrofitting a cnc but the Mach3 software looks superb, it has everything I need and more.
Also at a superb price (especially with the Pound/Dollar exchange rate)
I've just bought a Hurco KMB1x mill that is in very good condition except the controller is dead - Perfect for a retrofit :)
I have also picked up a exceptionally cheap Renishaw probe with a selection of probes as the scanning really interests me.
Dont you just love Ebay!
I have a question I hope someone on here can help me with.
The Hurco has Electrocraft 0703.02049 motors which as far as I can work out are 45v DC Servo Drives.
It also has Litton encoders which I believe are 1000 line.
Am i right in thinking I need Gecko G320 drives for these motors?

Hurcomatt.
If you didn't find the answer yet, there's contact details on www.geckodrive.com, where you may find the answer, and there's a yahoo group -geckodrive- which might help you.
Good luck with the project.
