Title: Random jolts?
Post by: LexMotorsports on March 19, 2018, 06:55:25 PM
Hi all I am having an issue with my plasma having random “jolts” while the motors are running. This is happening whether I’m manually jogging, or running a code. The motors seem to jam up for a second, and jolt back and forth in both directions. It is completely random. Another thing I’ve noticed today, while my plasma is sitting idle, it’s making the motors move very slightly in both directions. This is also random.

I have a gecko g540 board and I have been running great lately, this is a new occurring thing since this morning. I haven’t changed my setup anyway.

That spells noise pickup from the plasma to me. You may have lost an earth connection or some screening.

Cheers
