Title: anilam 3000 retro fit?

I have a retrofit to do on an anilam 3000 controlled machine.
the drives and motors are fine ,but I believe the system is 0-10v.
what are the options of interfacing to mach3?
if possible id like to use a uc300 as the primary motion controller but thats not set in stone.

i think a:

CSMIO/IP-A

is not a bad choice.

but let's see what else is comming up.

Hmm at £600 its not a cheap option, would be cheaper to buy new drives .

There are no cheap options for controlling analog servos.
There's also the Vital Systems DSPMC, which is more expensive.
And maybe the KFLOP & KAnalog.

Hi,
can you tell us more about the servos and drives?

If they are analogue then as ger21 points out there are few choices.

drive number sma7215-200-1 revb I cant find in any specs or a manual?

Hi,
best I've found is a pic of the drive and they look to be analogue input.
Ordinary analogue to digital and digital to analogue is, with most hobbyist controllers, 10, 12 or maybe 14 bit.
Eminently suitable for measuring temperatures and other sensors but not nearly quality enough for analogue servos.
For analogue servos you require high linearity 16 bit conversions or suffer significant loss of position accuracy.

The boards already recommended are the only suitable boards with the high quality analogue conversions.
