Title: Machdrives BRC servo drive
Post by: N4NV on January 15, 2018, 06:43:20 PM
Has anyone reading this ever tuned a Machdrives BRC or BRB servo drive.  I am not having any luck.  The manufacturer is currently on vacation.

I have bra drives on my mill. I few issues, but David helped me out. What kind of issue are you having?

On the X and Z axis, an overshoot and then return a few thousands.  On the Z axis I am getting over and under travel even though I command the same 1.0000" movement.  I posted a video of the events here:

David really went over the top in support.  If you don't know, he is in Australia.  We set up a TeamView session and he went through the tuning process live.  It was pretty neat seeing him control my machine from so far away (with my hand near the E-stop).  I looks like one drive is tuned now.  I should be able to do the remainder myself.
