Post by: cameraman1234 on January 04, 2018, 09:09:14 PM
Hello cnc world,
I have just started in the world of owning my own cnc machines. I have been serching through the forums and have decided on converting to my two machines to mach three instead of running the ridiclous priced denford software. I am now in foreign water for me and need some help with what i will need. I here a will need a new control board which one should get for both machines also. when you say driver do you mean a software driver or is that a motor of some kind. also is there any other program or programing i need to do?? Also what cable should i get i have a cable that coverts 9 pin to ethernet will that work if i get a adpadter to the 25 pin rs232 port on the machine. If possible could you send me a list of everthing I need. Thankyou very much

The Gecko G540 would be an excellent controller - check out the Gecko website as there are many informative articles that explain in detail what you will need to get everything working. http://www.geckodrive.com/geckodrive-step-motor-drives/g540.html
