Title: New to the forum and software looking for a hads up!

Hi everyone,
I am retrofitting a Router, and of course I am using the Mach 3 software, being a first time user I have a Ton of question and I am sure many of them might have been already covered in this forum, but please bear with me, my immediate questions are:
How can I create M codes to activate the I/Os using the Parallel port (I am adding two more ports).
The same for push buttons.
As for the MPG pendant, I intend to have a selector where I can select which axis I want to move and maybe different speeds as well how can it be done?
Could anybody help me out?

Please have a look at the Wiki and there is also a customization manuaL (Mach2 but it will work for Mach3)l that I think will help you with your questions.
